    Long time reader of the forums but first time contributing.

    I have recently downloaded wordpress onto a clients host and run everything fine, except when I upload enfold I get an error 500.

    Reading through other threads of other people having problems, I have:

    Uploaded the theme via FTP
    Changed the plugins folder name
    Defined a higher memory limit inside wp-config

    But no joy at all. Is there anything else I can try? If at worst case is there anyone who offers support with this who could professionally assist?

    Can you please check server log for error?

    You said you uploaded the theme via FTP, did you delete the old folder or you uploaded it in there?

    Thanks for getting back to me,
    Error log says: PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/cluster-sites/4/g/gh05t.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6
    Have I managed to corrupt the header.php file somehow? I haven’t updated it, so unsure what I might have done.
