I apologise now for being thick.

I’ve uploaded the Enfold theme and WordPress has accepted it. Also Enfold Child which I wish to use.

Yet when I activate it, and all I’ve done is set a home page – static page – and assigned it to a menu – it doesn’t work. I get error http 500.when I try to display it on my URL.

If i activate any other theme it works fine and I can customise etc no problem and it shows up on the site URL no worries.

I’ve deleted WordPress from my hosting and re-installed. I’ve tried to delete Enfold but It stays.
So now I’ve got Enfold loaded but it doesn’t work; it did not before.
I can’t upload demos. It appears that Enfold cannot talk to the hosting software. All other themes are fine!

    What have I done wrong?

    Hey Hewettin1,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Vinay
