Instagram widget gives me an error 429 (= Too Many Requests). I tried with a different account, same result. What to do?

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,

September 25, 2020 at 10:50 am #1248365Hi brokomnet,
Instagram API does not work properly on some hostings and so we made integration with the Smash Baloon plugin. Please install and cofigure the plugin.

VictoriaJanuary 10, 2021 at 4:08 pm #1271373I have this same problem. I have installed that smash balloon plugin but not sure what to do next. Please help.
January 13, 2021 at 2:04 pm #1272160Hi,
Thank you for the update.
There is a dedicated element for the Smash Balloon plugin in the Advance Layout Builder, which is called “Instagram Feed”. You could use that element to display images or posts from your Instagram account, but you have to configure the Smash Balloon plugin first, connect it to your Instagram account and provide an API key.

IsmaelMarch 8, 2023 at 9:27 am #1400438This Error is still present. Do you think about fixing your instagram widget or implement a new version/alternative?
March 8, 2023 at 12:57 pm #1400469Hi @lentzotto,
This issue occurs on some shared hostings. To avoid that, we would need to create a way more advanced widget where you’d be able to connect to your Instagram account. Instead, we implemented the existing Smash Balloon plugin. Please consider using it instead.
Cheers!
