    Hi,

I found a problem with combination of Fullscreen slider and input form on single page, which especially affects mobile devices. When these two things are placed on single page, input form acts strangely:
    1) on mobile devices: when you click input form, keyboard appears on screen and site scrolls down so you can’t see input form that you are writing in. In this situation users can’t fill in the form
    2) on PC: when you scroll down to input form (you see it on screen), refresh the page, click input form as you would like to start writing, and try to scroll down, the site scrolls up to the top by itself.

When I remove Fullscreen slider everything starts working fine.

    Do you have a solution?

    Hey Tomasz!

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Hi!

I see what you mean. I could not reproduce it on my end though. Let’s try the following.

    1. Deactivate all plugins.

    2. Completely delete Enfold from your WordPress theme directory via FTP before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elliot,

I did what you said, deleted enfold theme via FTP, uploaded new one and deactivated all plugins. I still have the same problem on mobile devices, that is:
“when you click input form, keyboard appears on screen and site scrolls down so you can’t see input form that you are writing in”.

The problem happens only with Fullscreen Slider on the page. If I remove Fullscreen Slider, the input form starts to behave normal.

I’ve duplicated the whole site to a test domain, on a different server (the problem still appears), on which you can test the bug as you want. The credentials are in Private Content.

    Cheers,

    Hi!

Hmm, well I’m not sure what’s causing the weird desktop behaviour. It’s working fine on my XAMPP setup. Try creating a separate page and just add a fullscreen slider and contact form to see if it happens there as well.

As for the mobile there just isn’t anything we can do about that. It’s how Android and iOS work. You can always scroll back up after the software keyboard displays to see what your typing. Or we could try and reduce the textarea height via CSS if you’d like.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elliott,

For me the biggest problem is how it behaves on mobile devices (i checked it only on android). Normally input form doesn’t behave like this on android. To prove it I created a second page without Fullscreen slider and everything works there fine, you can find it in private content. It is a bug in enfold theme.

As it is for your suggestion that “I can always to scroll back up after software keyborad displays” the only people that use input form are the clients, and I don’t see how to tell each of them something like that.

    Cheers,

    Hi!

Oh I see now. I edited your test page and some things are not looking right. Your missing a lot of the container markup. Are you sure you did the two steps I said here, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/input-form-autoscroll-bug/#post-477737?

Your sure you have completely deleted the theme before downloading + uploading a fresh copy?

If you do not want to then at least create a test WordPress installation with a fresh copy of the theme so you can see it’s working fine there. I have tested on my XAMPP setup and have not been able to reproduce the problem. It’s most likely from a customization that has been done to the theme.

    Hi Elliott,

It’s 100% a bug. I installed a totally new wordpress, downloading it from wordpress.org, created a new subdomain, with a new database, downloaded new enfold theme. I just created a single page with a Fullscreen slider and transparent header, added some text around contact form and that’s it (the page is in private content). I made no additional changes to wordpress and enfold theme.
I opened the page on an android 5.0.2 mobile phone in incognito mode in chrome and firefox, clicked once on the page in non important part of it (ig. plain text) and than clicked on input form and the same thing happened, keyboard appeared on screen and site scrolled down so you I couldn’t see input form that I wanted to write in. I saw that if you don’t click on the site prior to clicking input form, everything works fine.

It’s impossible that you can’t reproduce the problem on your test setup, You are probably doing something wrong.

    Regards,
    Tomasz
