Hi – So I have started working on a site that uses the Enfold theme – I’ve just bought a new copy… because I can’t make any progress and I’m not getting the support I should be getting from the previous manager – what a surprise.
There is no update link for the theme – there is a child theme… and the advanced builder is missing….
There is no option in the general theme settings to go back to the classic editor, but I’m assuming that I should be able to update the theme with the newly purchased theme and all will be hunky dory… but I’d rather check with you first.
What is my best line of attack – should I simply upload the new theme and it will overwrite the old version and automatically link to the child theme? Or is it a little more complex than that?

Hi – I simply uploaded the purchased copy of the theme and all is working – thanks – I suspect the people who built the site used some kind of pirated version – certainly it was out of date and this explains why they had not made recently requested updates to the site.
Oh well, such is our sector!
