Hi guys!
While working on the header options of Enfold Theme Options, then replicating the same changes to all 4 languages of the site (I use WPML) still within Enfold Theme Options just the French site besides the original English one carries the exact styling option as the original English site.
The Spanish, German and Italian versions of the site give a totally screwed up color styling option in the front end, without having done anything but simply changing the header options within Enfold.you can view what I mean by clicking on http://www.casitasitges.com ,then view the homepage and click on the French flag to view the French version (ok, same as English), then click the other flags and view the difference.
Do I need to add some Custom CSS in the quick CSS?
Thanks
Antonio
November 19, 2013 at 11:32 pm #190741Hey there,
any update on the issue I reported?
Meanwhile I simply removed the German and French languages, but you will still see the incorrect colors of the styling if you click on the spanish or Italian flag to view how the hompeage looks different, when it shouldn’t.Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

November 20, 2013 at 4:02 am #190812Hey!
Please go to wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia, edit enfold.css then copy everything. Place all of it on custom.css. Remove browser cache then test each languages.
Cheers!

Have you tried copying everything from enfold.css to wp-content/themes/enfold/css > custom.css?
Cheers!
IsmaelNovember 20, 2013 at 5:10 pm #190986Nothing, it doesn’t work… :(
You can check by yourself. I’ve done as you said, yet it’s not working. What else could I try?
I cannot proceed with the site in other languages until I sort this out…

November 21, 2013 at 1:48 am #191226Hello,
I am having the same issue with WPML and Enfold. Everything is working perfect except for styling on the translated child theme. Has a solution been found for this?
Regards,
IgorNovember 22, 2013 at 10:13 am #191781Is there maybe a way to delete completely the child themes (the pages of the site in other languages) and start it all over again?
I have a feeling the problem occurred after I cloned the site and moved it to from my domain to my client’s domain…November 22, 2013 at 11:13 am #191796Hey!
How did you move the data to the client server? Did you use: WP MIGRATE DB to copy the database? If not you can break the serialized data in the database if you changed the url. (i.e. from localhost to http://casitasitges.com ).
Regards,
PeterNovember 22, 2013 at 1:31 pm #191821I actually used a plugin called ManageWP, I don’t know if you are familiar with that.
Basically it clones the entire website then duplicates it as is on a new, clean WP install in the client server. What I see is that the original site I made doesn’t show the issue, where the issue appears on the new site. The server is the same, for I was working directly on the client server, made the first site, then the client changed her mind and wanted the site to be on a different domain. So I used ManageWP, cloned site A and duplicated it on site B.Cheers,
Antonio
November 24, 2013 at 6:00 pm #192519Hi!
The domain name change is what caused the data to need to be changed from what Kriesi has explained in the past. So if your first domain was http://www.something.com and the second was http://www.somethingelse.com then the length of the values would change and cause data issues.
From the plugin example:
It even takes into account serialized data (both arrays and objects) and updates the string length values. Example: s:5:"hello" becomes s:11:"hello world"

DevinNovember 24, 2013 at 6:06 pm #192523Hi Devin, thank you for the explanation but I don’t understand what that means and most importantly is there a way to fix the issue? If so what should I precisely do?
Thanks for your help.

November 24, 2013 at 6:16 pm #192538You can use the plugin ( WP MIGRATE DB) to re-migrate your original database to the new location.
I’m not entirely sure this is what your original issue stems from but if you did originally come from one domain to a different one then it could have caused a database issue that just needs to get resolved.
December 1, 2013 at 10:46 pm #195117Hi Devin,
thanks for the tip. I am afraid the original database is considerably different from the current one, since the site has changed, so I don’t want to make an even bigger mess.Is there a way to maybe delete the structure related to the other languages created by WPML, so that if the problem is that of the change in domain as you suggested, I can recreate brand new languages structures from scratch on the new domain? Would that maybe solve the problem? If so, could you tell me exactly which steps to perform, if ti’s not too technical (I am not a developer so techy things are hard for me to understand).
Thank you so much!
Antonio
December 2, 2013 at 11:18 am #195241Hi!
Yes, I think this should be possible but I’m not very familiar with the WPML database structure. I recommend to contact the WPML support team and to ask them if it’s save to reset the WPML plugin options or to delete a certain database. I fear that this will cause some extra work and I don’t want to give you a false advice.

PeterDecember 5, 2013 at 5:11 pm #196711Hi Peter,
I contacted WPML support, followed all their suggestions, including resetting WPML, trashing translated pages, reinstalling plugins, reactivating.
Yet I keep getting the same wrong styling and the funny thing is that such error does not occur in the French version of the homepage, as you can clearly see by looking at http://www.casitasitges.com and clicking on the french homepage, whereas if you click on any of the others (German, Italian Spanish) all the stylings are messed up and they don’t respond to any selection I may make within Enfold Theme Options.
I really do not know what to do and I need to have the site translated for my client. If I give you the credentials to access the site as the admin, can you do some tweaks or something to make it work properly, please?
I am really desperate, for I have no idea where the issue is nor how to fix it.
Thank you.
I’ve done a complete back up of both the DB and files, in case you want to work on the site to try and reinstall its functionality.

December 6, 2013 at 8:51 am #196919Hi!
Please try to delete the dynamic css stylesheet located in wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/. Delete the file “enfold.css” within the folder and make sure that the folder is writable (777 chmod permission), Then go to the theme option page and hit the “Save” button to regenerate the dynamic stylesheet.
Cheers!
PeterDecember 6, 2013 at 10:42 am #196945Thank you Dude, I’ll try that immediately.
Thank you

December 6, 2013 at 11:57 am #196956Nothing…
I didn’t work either… I truly don’t know what to do…I deleted the dynamic css stylesheet located in wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/. Deleted the file “enfold.css” within the folder and made sure that the folder is writable (777 chmod permission), Then went to the theme option page and hit the “Save” button to regenerate the dynamic stylesheet.
At the same time, I also deleted all the .css files within that directory, related to each language: enfold_de.css, enfold_fr.css, enfold_it.css, enfold_sp.css.
I reset all the settings of WPML and deactivated the plugin.
I deleted all the pages previously created with WPML
I reactivated WPML and restarted the configuration…
When I went to click on the homepage and clicked on the flags…same result as before!
the french homepage looks fine whereas the styles of all the other languages are all messed up like before!
How is that possible that there is no way to reset/delete/restart from zero whatsoever?
Please can you look into that and see if there is a hack or something that can work?
Here are the ftp credentials:

December 6, 2013 at 3:29 pm #196995Hi!
I think the “Better WordPress Minify” caused the issue. I deactivated the plugin now and the styling seems to be consistent on all pages. Maybe try to exclude the dynamic stylesheet (enfold_de.css, enfold_it.css, etc.) from the compression or (probably better) switch to W3TC and use the “manual” mode to include only some of the css/js scripts into the “minify” process.

PeterDecember 6, 2013 at 3:50 pm #197004Hi Peter! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I owe you a huge thank you for solving such an issue. I was stuck at a dead end and I can finally go on and finish the site.
Thank you again!
