JeffJuly 14, 2015 at 4:14 pm #473278Hey jeff!
1. Hmm, I’m not familiar on what type of changes would be needed for this but if you want to display the current day then it would take some PHP editing. Or perhaps there is a plugin available for this.
2. I’m not sure if it is possible or not. There might be a plugin out there but I do not know of any. It sounds like it’s going to take a lot of work though so it would be best to hire a freelancer to help you out.
3. We try and help our customers out as much as possible but if the request is going to take a lot of time or code then it would have to be considered custom work. We do not have anyone available to do custom work so it would be best to hire a freelancer to help you out, http://kriesi.at/contact/customization.
4. Have you considered Enfold? http://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990?ref=Kriesi
It has a lot more features than Incarnation. Here is an overview of all of the different websites you can create with it, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/. Check out the Church demo, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-church/.
Cheers!

1. when we upload the image for the rabbie it shrinks for some reason. Also the background image shrinks
2. contact form is not clickable – http://dev.westcoasttorahcenter.org/contact/
3. we need to to have form for people to donate to the Synagogue.

jeffJuly 17, 2015 at 4:08 pm #475029Hey Jeff!
1- Can you please post the link to the page where we can see the issue? Very first link you posted is returning 404 error page.
2- I am able to click and fill the contact form – http://i.imgur.com/f8FhXpP.png. Can you please elaborate on the issue? Also, which browser and OS are you using?
3- You can use a plugins such as this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-quick-donation/ on top of WooCommerce plugin to accept donations.
4- Seems like you figured out this one – http://i.imgur.com/LYIccDr.png? :)
5- Are you using Events Calendar Pro version? If you are, you can create prayer times as events and make them “repeating events”
6- You can create it using Events Calendar plugin just as number 4 and 5 :)
7- Please add following code to Code Block element or Text Block element on text tab to display Hebrew date in English<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="//www.hebcal.com/etc/hdate-en.js"></script>
Cheers!
YigitJuly 20, 2015 at 9:27 am #475636Hi Yigit;
how are you ?
thanks for the reply .1. We managed to figure out the image size for the time being.
2. Contact form is working – how can we add more fields to it ?
3. we will go ahead and install the donation plug in. thanks
4. Hebrew date and holidays – I realized that we should not have imported all these because it feels the calendar for the synagogue. we need to create a page for the hebrew calendar , and the Calendar of event for the synagogue – please share your thought
5. we are no sin the Events Calendar Pro – I use we need to purchase it , than you can tell us how to proceed.
6 . ok
7. adding code – please explain . thanksthanks for your support !
July 20, 2015 at 11:53 am #475706Hi!
Thanks Jeff! I hope all is well with you as well :)
2- Please edit contact form element and add new fields as needed. If you need more specific features, you can try using Contact Form 7 plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
4- You can create Calendar of event for the synagogue using Events Calendar plugin but i am not sure how Hebrew calendar should look. Can you show an example please?
7- Where exactly would you like to display the date? I can give you more details instructions :)Cheers!
YigitJuly 22, 2015 at 6:30 am #476872Shalom Yigit;
thanks for the reply. we are a bit lost.
for 7- Please add following code to Code Block element or Text Block element on text tab to display Hebrew date in English :
can add this next to the logo ? how would be doing this
we would like to get something similar to http://demo.virtuti.info/demonstrations/vt5/
on top of the banner when you click on the MageDavid on the top-left side this thing is drop and you get 5 itemsCandle lighting: 9:22pm on Friday, 24 Jul 2015
This week’s Torah portion is Parashat Devarim
Shabbat Chazon occurs on Saturday, 25 Jul 2015
Erev Tish’a B’Av occurs on Saturday, 25 Jul 2015
Havdalah (50 min): 10:29pm onon our site we do not need the drop down , we just want to display it under the main horizontal menu
this info could be obtaine by :
a. javascript :
<script type=”text/javascript” charset=”utf-8″ src=”//www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?geo=geoname&geonameid=5328041&m=50&cfg=j&tgt=_top”></script>
please take a look : http://dev.westcoasttorahcenter.org/sample-page/ – the code is there so you should be able to see it .
b. API call :
$this_week = get_remote_json(“http://www.hebcal.com/shabbat/?cfg=json&geonameid=5328041&m=50&s=on&tgt=_top”)next to this we can add “Hebrew date in English ” either by calling javascript or getting from the API call
4. Event calender – see http://dev.westcoasttorahcenter.org/events/month/ – we phisically imported the event files from hebcal.com for 2015 into the event calander. so the site calendar will have both hebrew calndar and event that the Rabbi will enter . Is this the correct approch ?
thanks
July 24, 2015 at 4:23 pm #478260Shalom Jeff!
Sorry for the late reply!
You can refer to this post and add a widget area to your header – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-a-widget-area-to-the-header/. When you create a widget area called ‘header’, please add text widget into that widget area and insert the code i posted in my previous post into it.
It can be added to your site using the same “ava_after_main_menu” hook. Would you like to display it on all of your pages or only on certain pages?
Yes, i definitely think this is the correct approach but of course, it is up to you to decide :)

2- Can you please elaborate on the exact changes you would like to make on your page?
3- Please go to Appearance > Editor and open Functions.php file there. It should be theme’s functions.php file.Regards,
