I’m creating a template and would like to have the image that is set in “Featured image” automatically placed in a location on my new post. (Similar to the default Post template.) Is there a shortcode or something I can use?

Thank you for the inquiry.
Have you tried using the Image element’s Custom Field Image option? You can use the {wp_custom_field:_thumbnail_id} placeholder to automatically fetch the ID of the featured image. Please check the link below:
