    Hi,

    I followed the instructions here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ to create a child theme from our already customized parent theme so that I can update the theme files without complications. However, the Import/Export option isn’t available in the theme options.

    The site is running WP version 3.5.2 with the Enfold theme version 1.8.1 – I would like to update this site to the most current version of wordpress and theme without losing anyof the customization we’ve made to the site. We have not modified any of the theme files, just customized through the wordpress editor.

    Can you help with this?

    Hi Gritty,

    It’s possible to modify the theme via the WordPress editor as well, do you know what customisations you have made? If you do then simply move them over to the child theme and update the theme + WordPress. If you are unsure or don’t want to update the live version then please create a staging area either on a live or local server to try it out first.
