Hi enfold team,
I am using a child theme and I would like to import those great looking demo files. A Freelancer changed some things on my side and I am worry to destroy this by importing these files. Do I need to worry?
Or shall I import the files through the parent theme?Greetings Thomas
November 25, 2014 at 3:05 pm #357540Hi tom77113!
Importing demo will change theme options and install pages, posts etc. on your database. If you can post the link of the pages you would like to duplicated from demo site, we can provide you shortcodes
Cheers!
YigitNovember 25, 2014 at 9:05 pm #357924Hi Yigit,
all the “Import demo files” would be quite interesting. There are really nice things I would also use for my side. Especially:
Import: Simple Blog Demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-blog/
and also: Import: Default Demo http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/
Import: Small Business – Flat: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-business-flat/
Import: Photography Demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-photography/
Import: Restaurant Demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant/
Import: Restaurant One Page Demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant-one-page/
Thanks
Thomas

Like what Yigit said, importing the demo files will change your theme options and add pages that you probably won’t be needing. Most of the landing page of the demo data are created using the combination of color sections and sliders on the advance layout builder.

it is really a pity. Yigit offered to provide shortcodes. Could you provide me theme for For Import: Simple Blog Demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-blog/
Thanks
and Greetings
ThomasNovember 30, 2014 at 9:15 pm #360401Hi Thomas!
Shortcodes are just content, the content of that page it’s a Blog Posts element, to get the layout (header, menus, backgrounds, etc) you’d need to set (or import) that in the Theme Options.
Do you know what the freelancer changed? perhaps we can figure something with that information.

JosueJanuary 17, 2015 at 7:02 pm #381282I’d like to either – get the demo files OR – which pages to use to achieve the same result.
Thank you.

You can go to Enfold theme options > Demo Import and import needed demo
Cheers!
YigitMarch 24, 2015 at 10:21 pm #417433Hallo!
I wanted to import the “Small Business – Flat Demo”. So far no problem. But reviewing the source code I had to find out that some of the files should be imported into “wp-contents/uploads” or “wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/” folder. this obviously does not work correct.
Can you tell me how to fix this? To download each files separately from the online-demo is not possible … really to many files.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Which files didn’t get to the uploads folder? have you tried doing the import again? also, i’d suggest performing a WP reset before doing the importing again.
Cheers!

You should be able to find that demo available if you are running the latest version of Enfold (3.1.1).

JosueMarch 26, 2015 at 9:16 am #418365Hey,
thanks for your reply. Now I cleaned up my database and indeed the template works with the import.
But looking at the source code it is definitely not clean:
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’avia-dynamic-css’ href=’http://www.XXXX/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css?ver=5513ad78d35e2′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
<strong class=’logo’><img height=’100′ width=’300′ src=’http://www.XXXX/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/logo_flat_portfolio.png’ …
There are many of these links to the uploads folder that is empty.
Looking at the demo version
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-business-flat/
here the links are correct …
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’avia-dynamic-css’ href=’http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-business-flat/files/dynamic_avia/enfold.css?ver=55068ac813630′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />How to fix it?

I opened Developer Tools to look for any requests returning 404 but all seem to be working fine, not sure what do you mean by “empty folder” to be honest.
Best regards,
JosueMarch 26, 2015 at 11:10 am #418426Hi Josue,
sorry I checked this once again and indeed the files are in the upload folder. Sorry. I think this folder is not appropriate. The theme folder would be better. However, it works.
Thanks again,
