Hi there,
Running all possible tests for website speed, including pagespeed insights, it appears that images do not load the required size/resolution, but instead the full picture loads and then it gets resized with css from the theme. That way, SEO scores go down, no matter how much image size reduction we apply on them.
How can we bypass this issue, for images to load directly with the correct size with Enfold, instead of being resized in the visitor’s browser?
Best regards

Could you post links to your site and to the tests you have performed please?
Best regards,
RikardJune 16, 2017 at 12:35 pm #808944Please find links at the private content.
For testing, we use gtmetrix.com, https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ , tools.pingdom.com etc
You can see all pictures in all websites are web optimized and everything, it appears that correct resizing is not taking place (ie except logo image, a picture that needs to load as xxxxx-300×300.jpg , loads with code defining height as 300 and width as 300, while the jpg loads at its full size, and although the result is looking good, it is against good SEO practices.).
Maybe it is something we are doing wrong maybe it’s the theme… Please kindly guide us through correcting this image resizing issue!
Best regards.

IsmaelJune 20, 2017 at 6:06 pm #810549Hi there,
Yes, all pictures are highly compressed and optimized, using a premium , subscription based plugin (see private content). It is not the compression that has the issue, it is the resizing. This is where my issue occurs.
Having contacted the plugin developers, they’ve also guided me to contact the theme support, as with enfold, the image resizing happens using code, instead of the default wordpress image sizes.
Best regards
June 21, 2017 at 8:28 am #810839Hi,
It is not the theme that is causing the issue. For example, look at the following image.
https://www.wtech.gr/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/FOOTER-LOGOS-PAYMENT-FINAL.png
This image is used in the first column of the footer. The image is quite too big (1262x153px) for the column or container. You have to delete the image, decrease the size and then upload it again.
Best regards,

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, at the footer it was us putting just code there. Please advise for the rest of the images that are placed using the theme!Best regards.
