On my homepage I have a Grid Row with four cells. Three of the cells contain an image, inserted using Enfold’s Image Media Element in the Avia Layout Builder. I have always been able to replace one image with another with flawless results, including the penultimate time I tried this, which was May 15. The maximum container wide is 1310px, and each image is 500px wide.
However, on May 18 when I tried to replace an image, the new image didn’t fill the full cell but was smaller, with a border around it.
I took several steps to try to resolve the issue:
– Replaced the new image with the old image. The old image also turned out too small.
– Restored the May 15 version of the page. The old image filled the cell just as it should.
– Again replaced the old image with the new image. The new image turned out too small.
– Again restored the May 15 version of the page so my homepage wouldn’t look dumb.I did nothing differently when I tried replacing the old image with the new image than I’ve done since I launched the site last July. I can’t give you access to the back end because the site is hosted by the State of Missouri, but I took screenshots of the replacement process and loaded them into the website to give you a “slideshow” of the process.
1 – Homepage as it currently appears
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/1-Homepage-current.png2 – Dancer image details – This is the image to be replaced.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/2-Homepage-dancer-image-details.png3 – Portrait image details – This is the image I’m trying to insert as the replacement for the dancer image. The dimensions of the images are identical.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/3-Homepage-portrait-image-details.png4 – Image back end, image to be replaced. This is what I see when I go to Edit Page > Edit Element > Image.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/4-Homepage-image-back-end-image-to-be-replaced.png5 – Homepage, image back end, new image. Edit Page > Edit Element > Image after I’ve inserted the new image.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/5-Homepage-image-back-end-new-image.png6 – Homepage, grid row back end.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/6-Homepage-grid-row-back-end.png7 – Homepage, test. This isn’t the actual homepage but a test page I created by saving the current homepage as a template and then loading that template into the test page. However, the small size of the portrait image is what happens on the actual homepage whenever I try to change the image.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/7-Homepage-test.pngI’m running WordPress 4.7.5 and Enfold 3.8.4. (The State server is having conniptions about updating Enfold.)

VictoriaMay 23, 2017 at 4:07 pm #798345Hi Victoria,
That’s weird about the screenshots. I can’t upload on Imgur; do you use Dropbox?
Alternatively, I’ve now published the test page called Homepage Draft.
https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/homepage-draft/
Comparing this to the actual homepage at https://www.missouriartscouncil.org will show you the problem with the image size – it shows up in the third image from the left. The only additional information the screenshots would give you would be to show that I did absolutely nothing different in the back end to insert third image than I did with the first and second images.
And a new problem has shown up on the draft page – the video element is not working. I’ve inserted the same URL that is on the actual homepage, which is working fine.As I mentioned in my original message, I cannot currently upgrade the theme because of problems with the State of Missouri server on which the site is hosted. Do you want to wait to address the issue until the ITSD wonks have updated the theme so we can see if that solves the problem?

May 23, 2017 at 7:35 pm #798459Update:
We’re now running Enfold 4.0.7. Yay!
I have figured out what went wrong with the image size. Sometime over the past eight days, the default attachment size in WordPress changed from Full Size to whatever size was at the top of the list. Irritating, but at least I know what to do.
Unfortunately, the video link is still a problem. I’m opening another thread.
