Hi there,
I have installed and uninstalled Enfold theme through FTP several times trying to resolve the issue.
Symptoms: The ENFOLD logo does not show up on the themes page. But most importantly, in the Avia builder, the icons for the different options don’t show up. They show as image broken icons.
This is inconvenient, but I also want to make sure that there aren’t more related issues or corrupted files.
Thank you,

June 14, 2016 at 8:16 am #647836Hi,
You are getting this error message in the backend:
(index):451 WebSocket connection to ‘wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data’ failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 403
Not sure where it’s coming from though, could you try deactivating all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from one of them please?
Thanks,
RikardJune 15, 2016 at 5:25 am #648376Hi, I have deactivated all plugins, and uninstalled then reinstalled enfold through FTP. still same issue with broken icons.
June 15, 2016 at 7:15 am #648438Hey!
Please contact your hosting provider and check the mod_security.
it seems they are blocking connections.Let us know if that works or what they have told you, so we can check further
Best regards,
BasilisJune 16, 2016 at 6:51 pm #649357The hostgator support contact said this:
*Unfortunately, I did not see that error take place. However, I’m going to ask that you reach out to that developer again and get further information from them. If it’s hitting a mod_sec rule, we will need to know which exactly in order to determine if we can whitelist it for you.
June 16, 2016 at 7:11 pm #649363Hey!
We can not know, which exactly to be honest, as we can not know each system.
If the hosting is hostgator, their support will do a lot of cycles, so please try for them to see the log files and they will get where the issue is located. Thanks a lot for your understanding
Cheers!
BasilisJune 16, 2016 at 7:12 pm #649364they said: your best course of action will be to simply ask them what the mod_sec rule is that that they’re seeing, ask them for the EXACT error that they’re getting, and ask for the EXACT replication steps to reproduce that error.
June 16, 2016 at 11:32 pm #649448Hi,
I’ve installed Enfold with another name (“Enfold Test”), can you test if it works fine?
Best regards,
JosueJune 16, 2016 at 11:34 pm #649451That seems to have fixed it! Any chance you can explain if I did something wrong? (I recommend Enfold quite a bit, and would like to know for next time). Thank you so much!
June 16, 2016 at 11:57 pm #649460Only issue would be that old broken links still show when editing slider. Other than that, we seem to be okay.

JosueJune 29, 2016 at 8:21 pm #654982Hi I’m having the same issues with another site http://simoneperformance.com
Can someone please walk me through the process? I tried through FTP, and through Appearance, Themes, Add New. Through Add New, it fails. Through FTP it works but has the same issues of the icons not showing properly.
I would like to recommend this theme to 2 more clients of mine, because I like the theme once it works, but I’m having some difficulty installing it.
Thanks,
DeannaJune 30, 2016 at 7:54 pm #655453Hello, can someone please help me? I would like to recommend this theme to multiple clients, but I am having trouble with the basic install.

Can someone please walk me through the process? I tried through FTP, and through Appearance, Themes, Add New. Through Add New, it fails. Through FTP it works but has the same issues of the icons not showing properly.
Please watch this short video: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

IsmaelJuly 3, 2016 at 7:33 pm #656305Hello,
I watched the video, and I have properly followed all steps. However, I am missing the “Images” folder when I unzip the ThemeForest folder.
This explains the issue. However, can someone please send me the “Images Folder”? This has happened with both downloads (for rosewoodva.ca and simoneperformance.com).
Thank you.
July 5, 2016 at 7:26 am #656843Hey!
Did you download the theme from your themeforest account? The zip file should include every folders in the theme. I have my own license of the theme so I downloaded a copy and it’s all complete. Please try it again. Anyway, the “Images” folder do not contain any important files aside from the background images. We check the theme options and the advance layout builder in the “rosewood site”, everything is working.
Cheers!
IsmaelJuly 5, 2016 at 2:29 pm #657054Hi,
Yes the Rosewood site is working, however a Kriesi member had to upload “Enfold-Test”. The folder I uploaded did not work properly. And now I am having the same issue with another website I work on simoneperformance.com
I believe the images folder is the issue in question, because when I activate the theme, I am missing all the images like the “Enfold” logo on the theme button, and then all the advanced menu building icons. I have made you an admin user for simoneperformance
July 7, 2016 at 11:52 am #657913Hi,
We checked the “simoneperformance” site but it’s not using the enfold theme. These links will help:

IsmaelJuly 12, 2016 at 3:08 pm #659916Hi, please look at Simone Performance now. Enfold is installed, the proper way through FTP. Enfold screen shot is not showing on Themes page, and the Avia Menu Builder Icons do not show either.
I had this issue with Rosewoodva.ca where a Kriesi support member installed “Enfold-Test” and got this working.
I would like to recommend Enfold to a number of my clients, as such could you PLEASE let me know why this is happening and what I can do to fix this so I don’t have to bug your support team anymore? Thanks :)

July 15, 2016 at 3:20 am #661107Hi, I even tried re-downloading the file from Themeforest, followed your installation video EXACTLY (including using 7zip), and still having the exact same issue.
This issue has been going on since June 29th, I’ve followed all your suggestions, the step-by-step video. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the theme probably about 10 times. Can someone please help?
It is the same issue as the Rosewoodva.ca site was having. Someone resolved that issue, can they please help?
July 16, 2016 at 3:41 am #661592Hi,
We had overridden the image assets of the config-templatebuilder folder. The advance layout builder icons are there now:

Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 27, 2016 at 8:45 pm #665934Hi there, unfortunately, the issue is not resolved. Please look at http://simoneperformance.com
The Layered slider I built does not show the images, they come up as broken. This is how all images show in Enfold now when using the advanced builder. The Enfold icon on the “Themes” page is not their either.
Thank you.
