Hi Jutta,
I think we have covered everything on this topic from our end earlier in this thread; we recommend that you don’t use the preview functionality, since it’s not very reliable.
Displaying Enfold content in a default WordPress theme is not possible, since it can’t read the shortcodes which are used to render Enfold content.

RikardJanuary 20, 2023 at 12:13 pm #1394501Hello once more, Rikard,
If it were just the preview, I could live with that, but it seems to go deeper and I am losing confidence in the WordPress/Enfold setup. A couple of observations which may just throw something up.Firstly, switching between the “Advanced Layout Editor” and the “Default Editor”, the former shows the current page, but the latter shows an out-of-date version. In fact, the Default Editor shows the code corresponding to what I see in “preview”. It looks like there are two versions of the page, and the two editors point at different versions. Is that possible?
Secondly, WordPress was working for me until I was forced to update Enfold with a new licence key. Preview was working absolutely fine and I could switch between editors, view the HTML, etc. (Changing from API keys to Envato Token, we had to buy a new licence because we did not have the login details. They were just “embedded” in the automatic update under WordPress.) Is it possible that this caused issues?
Any other thoughts welcome!
Jutta
January 20, 2023 at 4:17 pm #1394551Hi,
I don’t think that it’s possible no, but why would you need to use two different editors? The Advanced Layout Builder is what comes with the theme, and that is what I would recommend that you use. The default editor is what comes with WordPress by default, and doesn’t offer any theme specific functionality, except for the magic wand tool.
Adding an Envato API token would not affect the preview functionality, no.

RikardJanuary 25, 2023 at 11:25 am #1395110Hello Rikard,
It turns out there are actually 4 copies of the page and “preview” and the default editor don’t point at the latest one. I don’t know where the boundary between WordPress and Enfold runs, so don’t know where to look for the problem, but from what you’re saying, you don’t think it’s in the theme.Regarding my second question, apologies if I did not make that sufficiently clear. I was not expecting any issues with Envato API tokens as such. The question is really: are you aware of any issues with using different licences for the initial installation and updates? (The original theme installation was done with one licence, using API keys, the recent updates with a different licence, using Envato tokens.)
Thanks.

If you are only using the default editor, then technically the behaviour should be the same if you change themes. In other words; it should not be theme specific, as it’s default WordPress functionality.
We are not aware of any issues after adding or changing the API keys, that’s should not affect any other functionality on your installation.
Best regards,
