Hallo,
we have a problem with Image upload.
If we try to add a new picture the upload starts but no thumbnail will be generated. In the media manager is the filename shown instead of a thumb.
If I switch to wp standard theme the upload works.
We checked all plugins already.
We use wp 4.4.2.

ChristianFebruary 18, 2016 at 5:53 pm #585541Hi!
We are working on your ticket please wait while we update the results here soon.Did you get it sorted? We were able to upload the image and see the thumbnail preview in the media library without any issue.
Best regards,

February 19, 2016 at 3:24 am #585818I’m sorry, I do not understand. Why sorted? The Problem is, that it is not possible pictures with around 100kb or bigger.
I tried just now an received these message: Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 34340864) (tried to allocate 4120 bytes) in /homepages/4/d248254239/htdocs/herstellung/herstellung/wp-includes/media.php on line 2743.
Kind regards
ChristianFebruary 19, 2016 at 9:15 pm #586316Hi!
That is a memory issue not related to Enfold theme. WordPress requires a minimum of 128MB memory to function properly. please contact your hosting company and ask them to increase the php memory so you can upload large images without any errors.
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapFebruary 19, 2016 at 10:07 pm #586334I am also encountering the same issue with your theme using version 4.4.2 wordpress and your latest theme. Image thumbnail will not render but the upload does go through and gets all sub sized images created.
We have our site on Godaddy Managed WordPress and have had them up the memory limit and still have the same issue where the image will not get created in the media gallery.
I did find out if i disable your theme and upload through media it works without issues.
Let me know if there is anything else.
February 22, 2016 at 11:51 am #587032Dear Vinnie,
thank you very much for your reply.
Unfortunatelly I’m afraid that’s not reasonable.
My Problem is that wp in connection with enfold theme do not render the thums after upload. You explained that could be a php memory issue and 128mb are required. But our hoster offers 256mb, only 11% are used. In addition if we switch to wp standard theme there is no problem to upload images bigger tham 100kb.
Obviously other user have the same problem (see Northside2015).
Please be so kind to investigate one again. A solution is highly requested.
Thanks in advance.
ChristianFebruary 25, 2016 at 10:32 am #588852Hi!
Uploading an image causes an error but the upload process is successful. I uploaded a test image and use it on a test page here: http://www.herstellung.apo-hellemitte.de/test/
Unfortunately, I’m not sure why the error occurs in the first place. Please check if the wp-content > uploads folder’s permission is set to 755.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 1, 2016 at 4:52 pm #591660Hello,
thank you very much for your effords. The folder’s permission is set to 755.
I’m afraid it is a theme topic because any other users have the same failure.
Please be so kind to try to find the reasons.
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
