Eversince, the lastest 2.1 update, I’m having trouble uploading images to my site.
1. I will upload lets say 4 images to the site via a Gallery module put it under my category and then when I go to view it, it either shows just the first image or all the wrong images show up, but if I but a feature image in, only that image shows up and no others..This happened after I updated the site via ftp. All the files were copied successfully via filezilla.
I’m using WordPress 3.6.1.
Please help cause I can’t finish my site without it.

September 16, 2013 at 4:28 pm #161737The website is http://kaivanaskari.com/ and if you click on the first portfolio item: “digital Vector Autos” it will only show you 1 image, (which is the feature image) There should be 3 others in there.
September 17, 2013 at 7:24 pm #162410Hi Pixelcarvers,
Are you adding your images to the meta box under the visual editor or inside of the visual editor via shortcodes/advanced layout editor?
Regards,
Devin
September 17, 2013 at 9:08 pm #162492I haven’t changed my process of adding the images. But here is what I do. I use the layout editor and drag a gallery item in the layout and add the images by clicking on it and inserting into my gallery. I can give you access to my site if you need to dive further in.
September 18, 2013 at 3:47 pm #162982The images that you see in the “ajax” view are not those you add to the content of the individual Portfolio item. Those images are entirely controlled by the second meta box *under* the regular advanced layout editor area.
So you where you see this area:

September 18, 2013 at 5:23 pm #163048I understand this. I was adding images before the latest patch and everything was working fine. Can you give me your email so that I can send you my access information so that you can access my site to see what is happening.
Here is a portfolio item added before the patch upgrade:
Backend:
frontend: These work perfectly no problems except for the path for some reason isn’t changing. Here is the problems after the patch.
Backend exactly the same as the previous gallery because I used it as a template:
The images in the Gallery:Frontend: You notice that the text box on the right isn’t showing up like the first gallery and the other images aren’t showing up
the other thing that I noticed is that everything now is showing a kaivanaskari.com/logos path even though it should just be either portfolio or kaivanaskari.com only.

September 18, 2013 at 5:31 pm #163054I hope this helps explain what I mean. I understand if I was adding a portfolio item I see the ajax options. But this is just a gallery item. Now if I turn the Ajax off and have the gallery show without a ajax gallery it will show the images. But Ajax for some reason isn’t detecting the images or displaying correctly.

September 19, 2013 at 5:03 am #163360The ajax option is completely separate from the regular portoflio items. You must use the options below the visual editor to add your images to the ajax gallery.
So the content in your visual editor, that single gallery, gets ignored for the ajax version. You need to add your images again like i have in my image above to the meta box below where you have what appears on the single portfolio page.
September 20, 2013 at 12:31 am #163808I don’t think you understand my problem. Look at the first image with the two ladies painting. You notice that there are other images below them which is a gallery. This gallery was created before the site was patched with the latest patch. Now when I try to create the same style gallery exactly same, it will not display the same result as the two girl paintings. The orange car gallery is a perfect example of that. I made the two girl painting gallery a template and added my cars to it and it only shows the first image and doesn’t display the text box or other images. Does this make sense? This is becoming frustrating only cause you aren’t willing to log in to see it in my site. If aren’t willing to take the time to see the real problem please refer me to someone who will.

September 20, 2013 at 3:22 am #163883You can create a temporary admin account for me and I’ll log in and take a look.
You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)
Edit: I think the main point of confusion may be that you don’t have the “Additional Portfolio Settings” meta box set to visible. So if you want to try going to the portfolio items Screen Options in the top right and clicking that checkbox first it might clear things up. Custom meta boxes can get turned off/unchecked during updates for some reason.

September 21, 2013 at 2:37 am #164335That fixed it! I just sent you an email with the temporary admin account ignore it. Thank you for your help. It turned off for some reason by itself.
