Hi,
Site works fine in FF, Chrome and IE10, however most of my users are IE8, and the CSS just doesn’t play well under that browser. Th icons come up without the ICON just text. Two column pages collapse into one column which looks ugly, footer three columns collapses into two. Have made no changes to the CSS this end, out of the box, created some pages with the builder and all works fine in those other browsers.
As before, i’m sorry i can’t link to the site, its behind a DMZ, any clues to why IE8 is not behaving?
Hey masterr!
By default IE8 should not be rendering like that. If it is there is likely something else causing a conflict with the theme or with the theme loading properly.
You can try deactivating all active plugins and then re-uploading the theme files after re-downloading theme from your downloads on ThemeForest to make sure there are no errors in the theme styles or anything like that.
The re-upload can be done in the same way you would update: take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
Regards,
Devin
Ok, think the issue was IE8 Compatibility Mode, this has now fixed the collapsing columns. Though now Magic Zoom doesn’t work, that only seems to work with Comapatbilty Turned on. Though It works fine on the Magic Zoom site in IE8, so something is still clashing. All Plugins have been removed except Magic Zoom. I’ll try the re-install of the theme.
