    Hello

    I seem to be having problems with the loading of the theme only in IE11. Normally it loads in a few seconds but in IE11 it’s taking between 10-20 seconds to load a page… http://recordit.co/N9SvNY5yYI

    I’ve noticed another thread which mentions a spelling mistake in the child theme but can’t seem to see the same issue. Is there any problem with Enfold and IE11? The hosting is on an AWS server running PHP7 so should be powerful enough.

    Hey jrgolding,

    You are currently using an older version of the theme. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.8.1 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and flush browser cache and refresh your page a few times – http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Hard_Refresh

    Thanks Yigit, yes it is slightly older (3.7), I have tried updating both in the child theme and in the main them and every time it breaks the site.

    I will persist but I have a feeling this is unlikely to solve the issue of the delay, there seems to be a delay in rendering the page after it’s finished loading, which I can only assume is exaggerated in IE11.

    Is there something in the theme which stops everything from rendering until it’s completely loaded?

    Hi James,

    What exactly is the issue you are having when you try to update the theme?
    Have you tried updating via FTP – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/?
    You do not need to update child theme, only parent one. I am on a Mac. I will ask my teammates to check your website on IE however to make sure that it is not something we have corrected already, we are going to need to see the updated version :)

    It just completely kills the site, it finishes loading but nothing renders (it’s simply a white screen). I’ll give it a go via FTP.

    Hi James!

    It seems like FTP did not help as well, as i can see that you are still using an older version. If you would like us to update the theme for you, please post FTP and WP admin logins here privately and upload the latest version of Enfold.zip somewhere on your server and tell us where :)
