Hi,
We discovered today that the web pages are not showing properly in IE 11. The header image and page title is not displaying as it should in any of the browsers. The problem is especially severe with https://socialtbyggande.se/konferens/anmalan/ since the buttons leading to registration do not show up at all, so visitors using IE 11 are unable to proceed to registration.I would be grateful if you have any suggestions over how this can be solved.
Many thanks
NickJuly 6, 2019 at 7:33 pm #1116318Hey Niky67,
Sorry for the late reply, In the Private Content area is a beta version with the latest fixes which has solved many IE & Edge issues so perhaps this will help you also.
The easiest and safest way to test the beta version is to rename your current theme to “enfold-old” via ftp then upload the new “enfold” and check that your site is working correctly.
Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.Best regards,

Thank you for your reply and advice. Can I just confirm, when I upload via Ftp. I should unzip the file first? This is what I usually do when uploading Enfold.
If this is the case can you please advise me further as for some reason I am unable to unzip this zip file. In the process of extracting the file, this error message occurs…error 0x800040005Many thanks for your continued support.

Thanks, this zip file worked successfully to set up and I have heard from the client the website is working well on IE 11 now. Great ;-)
There is one thing I wonder about though, I did get an email from WordPress saying the web site had a technical problem…please see the error message below;
An error of the type E_COMPILE_ERROR occurred on line 146 in the following file: /www/webvol30/3u/uigxfg426azxrs5/socialtbyggande.se/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php. Cause: require_once (): Failed opening required ‘includes / helper-privacy.php’ (include_path = ‘.: / Usr / local / share / pear’)Many thanks
NickJuly 12, 2019 at 6:32 am #1117938Hi,
Glad to hear, I have not seen this error before, perhaps it occurred on the switch over? Shall we see if you get another error message?Best regards,
MikeJuly 15, 2019 at 9:29 am #1118711Hi Mike,
Perhaps the error message is something to do with the new WordPress software…all seems to be working and the clients are happy the website now shows on IE11. Yes let’s wait and see.
Many thanks for your help.
