    Hi,
i’m trying to setup my page for responsive view in different solutions.

My question is for the with of the background image in color-section with paralax effect.

What is best with for that in this resolutions? Which height is recomended? I was trying and trying, but it seems i don’t understand the concept…
    breiter als 990px – z.B.: Desktop

    zwischen 768px und 989px – z.B.: Tablet-Querformat

zwischen 480px und 767px – zB: Tablet Porträt

    kleiner als 479px – z.B.: Smartphone-Hochformat)

What settings are recommended for paralax background image and which width?

    kind regards Jak

    Hey Jak73,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

To make it a bit simple, the width of the image should be close to that of the standard screen resolutions (1920x1080px, 1600x900px), and should have an aspect ratio of 16:9. The image should also exceed the height of the color section to get that subtle image delay when scrolling the document. But please note that the parallax script in the theme will handle the image resizing automatically based on the size of the color section, so you don’t really have to worry about the exact image size.

You can check the image in the private field to get an idea on how big the image should be in a parallax color section. The image is used in one of the demo with the parallax effect. And in case you didn’t know, you can also use the Layer Slider to create a parallax effect.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
this is very helpful, thank you!

Layer slider seems to be a great solution. How ca i set it up, that i can use one layer slider for each resolution (hiding not needed layerslider?

And how can i get the paralax effect. Tried everything, but could not find out how to make it?

    kind regards Jak

    Hi,

Sorry for the slight delay. For the layer slider, you have to modify the Slide > Effects > Parallax Defaults settings to apply a parallax effect to the main background. You can also apply a separate parallax effect for each layer in the Transition > Parallax Transition panel.

    Hi,

We tested the parallax effect of the layer slider on mobile view but it seems to be disabled, which is probably due to performance reasons. Parallax effects could degrade the rendering performance of the page a bit specially on devices with limited resources because it has to transform the element dynamically based on the cursor or scroll position. This is probably why the effect is disabled on mobile devices.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
