This issue seems to come and go.
    I can’t figure it out.

The search icon at the top is some strange character, as is any other icon.

    any ideas?

    Hey GSMUrocks,
Very strange, have you tried disabling your plugins to see if that resolves the issue? Then you could reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    Best regards,

Disabled all plug ins – reinstalled WordPress – updated the Enfold theme.

    Its still not working right.

    wierd.

    Hi!

Please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
And if that too does not help, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-cors/

OK well I did that and still no go.

it seems to be an issue with the entypo-fontello font?

    Hi,

The search and other icons is showing up properly on my end, I have tried to refresh several times but it seems to work consistently. Does this issue show on any browsers?

It seems that the WP Speed of Light plug-in is causing the issues.

I could not tell earlier if that was the issue but now when I turn it off now the icons seem to come back.

That did not happen before- so FTPing the files up was probably the fix.

I will leave it turned off as I need the icons.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing the info. I think it’s more of a caching issue, I think excluding the font from being cached might also fix the problem. Glad that you figured out what’s causing it :)

    Best regards,
    Nikko
