Icons appear as shortcode and embedded maps disappear after updating WordPress

Twice when updating my WordPress to 5.2.2, I came across two issues:
1. Many of the Enfold theme icons appear on the site as shortcode, meaning that I have to go in and change every icon that doesn’t show up.
2. We have many many embedded maps throughout the site, and they all disappear with the update. The code for the embedded maps also disappears from the backend. If I didn’t have the codes for the map in a link underneath that says “view this map fullscreen,” I would have no way to know which map should be embedded in each post.

Version 5.2.4 is currently on production with the same two issues. Before updating again, I want to see if there is a solution.
