The Post Type doesn’t have the ADVANCED LAYOUT and I need to use an “ICON BOX”. When I try to insert an Icon Box using the magic wand and hit “Save” nothing happens (the code doesn’t get entered into the post).
Am I doing something wrong?
How else can I go about getting the Icon Box into the post?

Have you tried disabling third party plugins and shortcodes to see if it fixes the issue.
You can follow this video to enable Advance Layout Editor for Posts.

When I click any other type (except ICON BOX) the correct code appears in the window – when I click Icon Box, nothing happens.
Any clue?
Is it possible you have the HTML code for the box and I just edit the necessary text parts in the editor?
NOTE: I tried adding the advanced layout editor based on the video but it didn’t work – not too comfortable editing the PHP code so staying clear of that unless I absolutely need to.

October 5, 2014 at 1:38 am #330360Hey Andy –
We have had developers do a ton of customization to this theme so we can’t update to 3.0 unfortunately without going through the theme with our developers to make sure it converts correctly.
If this cannot be done without updating i’ll try and find another way around it!
Thanks
October 5, 2014 at 1:53 am #330362Hi!
If your developers used a child theme (definitely recommended!) for all customization they did, than it wont be a problem to update.
You might also think about updating via FTP, because this way all existing files wont be replaced, just overwritten.
Please make sure to have a backup before updating.
If you have more questions we are happy to help.
Best regards,
Andy -
