BasilisJune 2, 2016 at 8:46 pm #642203thanks. i just edited the file — removed the code your guy added that brought our site down. i know stuff happens, but drag he didn’t tell someone before leaving that he brought our site down and to keep an eye out. so my original question stays – why aren’t sliders working after upgrade on wp? but i’m hesitant to give access to the site again. maybe i should just buy another theme? PROBLEM THREAD is this https://kriesi.at/support/topic/sliders-not-working-5/#post-641683
June 2, 2016 at 8:47 pm #642204sorry, should have said, removing his code brought the site back online
June 2, 2016 at 8:58 pm #642213Hi!
Yes, I imagined that the issue was on that, so I knew what to do.
The issue is not on our theme at all.
You have to update our theme, WordPress, disable all of your plugins, clear your cache and you will have it up in no time.If nothing of that works, simple regenerate thumbnails and the issue will be solved.
Cheers!
BasilisJune 2, 2016 at 9:12 pm #642219ok. your theme is at 1.8. wp is at 4.5.2.
– just disabled all plugins
– chrome ctrl f5 to clear cache
still spinning photos.
– trying on 1 page – removing ‘featured image’ for 1 page – adding new featured imagine for slideshow – update
still just eyeglass spinning – if you click on the eyeglass i can see the 2 new featured images i just added – but from the page it spins and show eyeglass—- any other recommendations? – thank you!
June 2, 2016 at 9:13 pm #642221this is the page i tested it on. http://defensarincon.org/horseclass/
and i’ll probably go enable all my plug ins shortly unless you recommend otherwiseJune 2, 2016 at 9:28 pm #642227Hey!
Yes, go ahead and update again.
I Understand that you are having issues, but I am not sure we can solve it without access.
Can u share only WordPress, no FTP and give us some time so we can review?Cheers!
BasilisJune 2, 2016 at 9:30 pm #642230let me do a full backup tonight before giving you admin to site again. i appreciate your response and i really do understand ‘shit happens’ . nature of technology!!! – i love your theme so i’d prefer to get it working again! thank you. i’ll message here again after backup is completed! have a great afternoon!

June 3, 2016 at 9:58 pm #642728Hey!
Need some time to review, so let me go ahead.
I will let u know about the processBest regards,
BasilisJune 5, 2016 at 2:42 pm #643144I’m not sure if related or helpful in troubleshooting – but when i edit a page, after i update it, all the text i edited goes away until i view the page. then i can come back to edit. but i have to view the page before any of the text for that page shows up in the edit mode.
June 5, 2016 at 10:42 pm #643216cynthiaGuestI also notice the slide show photos show up on mobile view / device
June 5, 2016 at 10:43 pm #643217cynthiaGuestJames & Cynthia both admins on this site / issue
June 7, 2016 at 3:42 am #643752Hey!
I apologise for the late reply, since Basilis is helping you out it did not appear in the queue for me.
Wordpress recently update the jQuery version which caused the slider to stop working on your site. The code provided earlier fixed this issue almost every time. However if an error shows up after adding the code in functions.php it is more or less a warning message (this does not in anyway affect the data on the site) and it can be fixed in no time by editing the functions.php file but it will be possible only with FTP access.
I understand where you’re coming from but do not worry at all you are indeed in expert hands. With your kind co-operation we will go the extra mile to resolve this efficiently for you :)
Cheers!
