    Hi,

my website eiweisspulver-test.com seems to be loading slowly lately due to some external url that is called. Also the Google Page Speed tool shows this as a problem. The url is as follows:

    http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.0.3/css/font-awesome.css?ver=4.3.1

Is this url called by the enfold theme? And how can I solve the speed problem?

    Best regards!

    Arkadi

    Hey aph80!

As I can see, you are not using any cache or something related. Your website although for me ( from Greece ) loaded almost in 2 seconds, which is a nice score.

You could try to optimize / cache your web site by using any service like wprocket, w3total cache or optimisation.io

Do let us know if we can help you any further

    Cheers!

    Hi Basilis!

Thank you for testing the speed. I use WP Fastest Cache. Is calling http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.0.3/css/font-awesome.css?ver=4.3.1 an essential function of the theme or can it be switched off somehow?

Google says it is a “blocking ressource” that should be put in a different position, loaded asynchronously or directly inline in html. How can I do that?

    Cheers!

    Hey!

I think for every advanced WordPress theme there will be some issues. If you really want Google to be fully happy, then you need to use a very basic theme only.

Though if you really need to “correct” this, then you would need to hire a freelance developer for this job, as it would require a huge amount of time and customization of the theme.

    Regards,
    Andy
