Hey guys,
I’m not sure if this is actually the theme’s issue or WordPress itself, but when I go to upload a large image (about 2000 size and up), it gives me an HTTP error. Smaller images are uploading fine though.
I do not have any plugins installed that have anything to do with images. If anyone can provide some suggestions on how to fix this, that would be great! Thanks!

October 22, 2014 at 11:37 pm #339809Hi,
Can you check if it happens with the default WordPress theme activated?
Cheers!
JosueOctober 23, 2014 at 12:44 am #339851Hi Josue,
I’m new to WordPress so bear with me! I’ve heard that switching between themes could override all the work you’ve done in a previous theme; is this true? Or can I just, like you said, activate one of the regular WP themes then go right back to my Enfold Child theme without any problems?
Thanks!
October 23, 2014 at 1:11 am #339868Obviously, I realize you wouldn’t give an answer that will screw up my current site so I should have stated that I do have quite a bit complete on my website that I don’t want to have to re-do if activating another theme DOES in fact override everything.
This is the site I’m working on: http://rmtest.ca/ccsvi_canada/
So if it is okay to just go ahead and activate a different theme that won’t cause problems with the one I am using to check the images, let me know and I’ll do it right away.
Thanks so much.

No, that won’t happen at all if you just switch themes for a moment.
Best regards,
JosueOctober 23, 2014 at 1:39 am #339877I had this problem as well (specifically with GoDaddy hosting).
I made a php.ini file with this —
max_execution_time=600
and uploaded it to my main wordpress folder via ftp.
…don’t know if that’s right, but it worked for me!
October 23, 2014 at 2:51 am #339907Hey guys,
@jakejules: I tried that way and it didn’t seem to work for me, but thanks anyways! :-) Glad it worked for you.
@Josue: I switched to the TwentyThirteen theme and it worked with the larger images! Worked no problem to upload the images, so how do I go about fixing it on the Enfold Child theme?October 23, 2014 at 4:07 pm #340167Hi!
Please also try to increase the allocated memory to 128M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.Best regards,
