    Hi !

    I had a problem with my hosting configuration and had to delete my wordpress to reinstall it.

    Now that I’ve fixed the problem, I try to install the enfold theme via wordpress, the instalation works but when I activate it I get this error message:
    This page does not work
    Unable to process this request via mysite.fr at the moment.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    What can I do ?

    Hey Intotheride,

    That is a very general server error, it basically just means that the server can’t handle the task it tried to do. I would suggest that you reach out to your hosting provider to see if they can help you out further.

    I tried checking your site but it looks like there’s not even a WordPress installation there?

    Hi Rikard,
    Thanks for your answer.
    I do have a wordpress installation but as soon as I Activate the enfold theme it become unattainable. If I delete the “enfold” folder in the FTP I get the wordpress installation back.
    My hosting provider told me that they can do nothing cause it’s “outside their territory”.

    Can the problem comes from the fact that I already installed the enfold theme once ?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update and clarification. Since this is not a general problem with the theme, then something must be causing it locally on your site/server. The 500 internal server error is very general and doesn’t say much unfortunately, that’s why I recommended reaching out to your hosting provider so that they can check the error logs. If they are not prepared to do so then maybe you have access to them? If so then please share them with us.

    If you already have the theme installed on the site then please make sure to remove the old version first, then upload the theme as usual. Make sure that you have backups of the site before doing this.

    Also, which version of PHP are you running on the server in question?

    Ok it works now, the PHP was a 7.3 beta version, I changed to 7.2 and the theme has been installed now, thanks :)

    I now have another problem when trying to install a Demo (Démo Portfolio photographique). I get this message:

    “Importing didnt work! You might want to try reloading the page and then try again”

    What can I do ?

    Hi,

    Could you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase “max_input_time” to “1000” and try once again? It currently seems to be set to “-1”.
