When set Enfold or Enfold child as the theme, the site shows a http 500 error. The site works with any other theme. Although there is no content on the site yet other than the themes, this site will be an ‘adult’ website so I don’t want to post its URL here.

I checked the server logs and there are 2 errors:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/vhosts/THEURL.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

    GET / HTTP/1.0

I fixed this by replacing the contents of header.php with the info at https://pastebin.com/yp2fxsaz but will the problem happen again if the theme is updated?

I deleted Enfold from this website and used another theme because I have to finish the website this evening. I will use Enfold on another website when I get more time. Please answer the question when you have the time so I know the answer when I use the theme on a new website.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This would be fixed on the next update, since this bug is already reported. Thanks for using Enfold :)

    Best regards,
    Nikko
