    I want to add similar items to the top right corner as used on this site: http://www.planetkitesurfholidays.com/

    Most importantly would be contact numbers, maybe a Skype icon and a link to a contact form.

    Hey markvanhaze,

    Please create a header widget area and add the contact info and icons in a text widget.

    Let us know if you have any questions.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    You may need to adjust the values of the CSS a bit to get it looking right, I couldn’t see a header widget on your site though so I assume you remove it? We need to be able to inspect the element in question in order to give you working CSS, could you add it again please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Thanks for looking into it. I added the part into the php file now and also a “header” widget. Please let me know what to do.

    Hi,

    I still can’t see a widget in the header unfortunately, please send us admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    Thanks for the details though the default login URLs are returning 404 errors, what URL do you use to log in?

    Best regards,

    Hi, yes the login goes via http://www.alwayswindy.com/blog/wp-admin

    Hi,

    Ah ok, thanks. I added a text widget to your header and some CSS to Quick CSS. Could you add your content to it and we can style it to your liking after that?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Ok so I added the text that I would like to be placed top right corner. Please also check that this works on mobile and does not run over the header logo.

    Oh and btw, maybe not quite related – in mobile mode (potrait) our logo always slips from the header down to half over the page content – how can I change that?

    Hi,

    Please try updating your Quick CSS with this:

    #header .widget {
        left: auto;
        right: 0;
        padding-top: 30px;
        position: absolute;
        top: 0;
        transform: translate(-50%);
        z-index: 999;
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
      #header .widget {
        display:none;
      }
      .responsive #top .logo {
        height: 50px !important;
      }
    }

    It will hide your header widget on mobile since it’s too big to fit, I saw that you have added it in the content as well so users will be able to find the info anyway.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Thank you, that helped with the logo issue. SO now I only need the widget with the phone number to be staying on the top right corner.

    I just checked the logo issue on my phone (Chrome browser) – see screenshot. Seems that it only works on the desktop.

    Hi,

    I think the problem is that you’re using different height values for your logo. Remove any other custom code you’re using, until you find the one which is causing the problem. Adjust this part of Rikard’s code as needed:

    .responsive #top .logo {
        height: 50px !important;
      }

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi,

    yes that was it. It works now as intended. I do have afollow up question though: Can the widget be different for my german translation of the site?

    Hi!

    Yes, you can use the following plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/

    For additional questions or inquiries, please create a new post. Thank you!

    Cheers!
