    I would like to know if it is possible to include HTML in the auto response field of the standard e-mail form.
    The autoresponse mail I would like to send doesn’t have to be a full HTML e-mail. (it would be nice if it could, but it’s not necessary) It just has to contain 2 links.

    Yes, it is allowed to use html tags inside the autoresponse field. You can also try the Contact Form 7 plugin to create more comprehensive autoresponse email.
