Im trying to use a different slider at the top of a page. The slider itself is not part of the Avia layout builder, so it cannot be easily added. I can add the slider using a shortcode. I add a text box then add the shortcode for the slider.
The problem is there is a space before and after the slider. How to I remove any padding/margin before and after a text box/content element or layout element.
Secondly, I would like to upgrade to the newest version of your theme but Im concerned I might break something when updating. What would you charge to update my website to the newest Enfold theme?
Thanks again for your help.

BasilisMarch 17, 2016 at 9:44 pm #599968Here is a link to the test page.
As you can see there is some padding/margin before and after the slider. I checked the slider settings and all margin/padding is set to 0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There would be no blue background if the padding/margin was removed correctly. I made the background blue to you could clearly see the issue.

We are unable to view your site as this error occurs
This looks like a plugin conflict may be the slider plugin but cannot say for sure
To find the plugin in conflict please follow the below steps
1. Goto plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins (First try only with the slider if not try all)
2. Updated WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
3. Activate one plugin at a time… refresh the page and check for the issue.
4. Make sure the plugins are all updatedRegards,
Vinay KashyapMarch 18, 2016 at 5:51 am #600082Sorry about that, please try it now.
I added the word Test, as you can see there is a large amount of margin/padding above and below the word.
Secondly, I would really like to pay someone to update this theme for me correctly. How much to update this theme to the current version, this version is at 1.9
Thanks again for your help.
March 18, 2016 at 9:49 am #600168Hi!
I believe you are using a color section and adding a text content widget inside it…
To remove padding from color section please click the edit option and change the “Default padding” to “No padding”
Theme update is really easy and quick…
Since this is a very old version we recommend backing up the site first. You can use a plugin like wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
Once you have the site fully backed up go to Enfold Options > Theme Update and click on update
If you still want someone to to this for you we recommend you hire a freelancer or if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with us.
