Hello,
I am building a portfolio website and I have got a few questions about displaying the photographs in enfold. I am looking for a way showing photographs in a full-screen lightbox. The proportions of the photographs I want to display shall not be changed.
When you click on a photograph displayed in a gallery it shall be opened in a lightbox using the whole screen. Opening a photograph in the lightbox which is implemented in enfold will display the photographs still showing the adress bar and the tabs of the browser. I don’t want these to be seen.
Photographs of the format 16:9 shall be seen using the whole size of the screen. The photographs I am using are of the size 1024 x 576 px.
The size of some other pictures is 1024 x 768 px (4:3). Photographs of this size shall be seen using the whole screen but the rest to the left and the right. These parts shall be black when a photograph of this size is opened in the lightbox.
Some other photographs are of the size 576 x 768 (3:4). The parts to the right and left are of course larger and shall also be black when opened in the lightbox.I know that you can customize the size of the photographs predefined by enfold for example by using the plugin „Simple image sizes“ (https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/). But that will not change the size of a photograph opened in the lightbox of course.
The „BigScreen.js“ of Brad Dougherty allows to open any element in „full-screen modus“ (https://github.com/bdougherty/BigScreen).
But it does not work like a lightbox where you can navigate through a series of photographs without leaving the „full-screen modus“ (Please correct me if I am wrong.).I have also found this description in the support forum but it did not work:

I hope that you understood what I am looking for. Does anyone know if there is a plugin or another way that I could use in order to achieve this?
Best regards!

I think I know what you mean. Kind of like how youtube opens up and takes the fullscreen correct?
Unfortunately I do not know of any plugins / scripts that can do this. Not sure if it’s possible, perhaps you would need to use flash? If anyone has seen something like this before then please let us know.

this is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks a lot for this short description. :)
I can’t imagine tha’t I am the first person looking for a “real” full-screen lightbox plugin.
Anyway, thanks.Fabian
August 3, 2015 at 5:02 am #481855Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. I’m not familiar with any plugins like that and I’m not sure it’s even possible when dealing with pictures with varying sizes. For instance, “real” full width would not be possible for a portrait sized image on a desktop screen. I’m not sure if you still need help with this but please let us know if you should have any further questions.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 3, 2015 at 10:53 pm #482441Hi Elliott, hi Rikard,
I found a plugin which does what I am looking for. It is as simple as it is called “Galleria“:
“Galleria is a JavaScript image gallery framework that simplifies the process of creating beautiful image galleries for the web and mobile devices.”
It is fully responsive and can be used for free without any restrictions.Rest Regards,
