Hi, I have imported one demo but want to try out elements from other demos. Often, I don’t know what those elements are called in the layout builder so I wondered if there is a way to know which elements are used in your demos? As a total beginner, this would be very useful! Thanks!
June 25, 2019 at 2:40 am #1113070Hey linguservice,
You can turn on debug mode to view exactly which shortcodes are used. Even better, You can also simply activate the demos and go to the page to see what is used.

Thanks for your answer. I am not sure that this answers my question though.
If I understand it correctly, the debug mode is used on my WP site so I can add/remove code there, right? But I wonder, if I see an element in any of your demos (https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/), how would I know which of the elements has been used? Can I debug your pages as well?
About importing demos, as I’ve understood from other threads, it’s not recommended to import several demos? I am doing this now as it is the easiest way to see which elements have been used in the demos but are there any disadvantages with it?
I am really not a developer, just creating a website for the first time in my life, so really beginner’s level :)
Kind regards,
AnneJune 27, 2019 at 11:20 am #1113895Hi again,
I have now tried to reset all the settings with this plugin: https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/
Then re-activated Enfold and imported the theme I want to use but the result is still a mix between different demos (using font and colors of the demo I used before, see screenshot: https://monosnap.com/file/7yHgsBvrbM4kB7sEC9DUfuOeuVOVuII don’t know how to reset the settings for real so I can completely switch to a new demo? The mix-up is just terrible!
Thanks a lot,
Best,
AnneJune 27, 2019 at 8:00 pm #1114088Hi Anne,
Which demo do you want to use?
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

It looks good now, have you done anything to the theme? Maybe it was just a cache issue?Best,
AnneJune 30, 2019 at 5:27 pm #1114618Hi Anne,
NO, I just got to the thread again. Maybe it was the cache issue, but I am glad it is working now :)
If you need further assistance please let us know.

Thanks for your answer.
I have now made changes to the demo but now started reading about child themes and thought it would be good to install one. Can I still do this without losing the changes I made? Do you have any tipps for how to do it the best way? I haven’t changed anything in the CSS yet, only in the layout builder.
All the best,
AnneJuly 2, 2019 at 6:00 am #1115034Hi Anne,
You can still install a child theme, install and activate the child theme, then select to import the settings from the parent theme under Enfold->Import/Export. If the setting don’t apply straight away then try to toggle one of the theme settings, save and reload the site.
Best regards,
Rikard -
