Hello
How can I define a set of elements that will appear at the bottom of multiple pages and be editable through the avia layout builder?
I tried to do this with the footer widget area but I encounter a problem since I need to be able to edit the elements with the Avia layout builder.
For example, a testimonials slider. I want to be able to double click it and edit the testimonials within it.
If I work with text-widgets and place the [av_…] codes, I loose the editing capability.Basically, what I need is a group of elements that appears in multiple pages, that can be edited easily with the Avia layout builder but whose data is only stored once and therefor no matter from what page it’s edited, the updated data is seen on all pages.
I’m working on a child theme and am comfortable with php coding. What will the best implementation be?
Thanks,

You can try creating a template to use.

A template won’t work for me since once added to the pages, data is duplicated and when updated on a single page, the update doesn’t affect the rest of the pages. i.e. if I add a new testimonial to the system, I’ll have to do and add it manually to each of the pages, or if I choose to modify a string label, I’ll have to update each and every page, or am I missing something?
Is there a way to place an element, editable through avia_layout_editor, have it appear on multiple pages but when edited through one of it’s appearances – updates are reflected on all appearances (pages)?
Thanks

No, unfortunately, that is not possible. Aside from saving the template and switching the builder to debug mode (http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/), I’m afraid we can’t help you further. Please contact a plugin developer to build such feature.
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 23, 2015 at 1:20 pm #384334I already started developing a plugin to achieve this (with great help from Kevin on a different thread in the forum). Just wanted to make sure I’m not missing a time saving option in the theme before diving into the development.
Thanks,

Feel free to request such feature here as well – https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
