    I want to display an accordion in the sidebar. Can I just add shortcodes to the sidebar using the text tool?

    Yes, I’d suggest to use the “shortcode generator” to build the accordion shortcode (go to a “post” editor page, click on the “magic wand” icon in the TinyMCE toolbar and select “Content Elements” > “Accordion”). Then build your accordion and copy/paste the shortcode into a text widget. You can add this text widget to any widget area in your sidebar.
