    how should I deal with this fatal error message?
    everthing is down …

    And why did it happen?

    Hi nini_bacher!

    Please try re-updating the theme via FTP – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and overwrite all files

    One question before I go for it: will the websites content/design be influenced by the theme update?

    Hi!

    Have you made any changes on theme files? If you have, have you applied those changes on a child theme? If not, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ and install a child theme and move your changes there.

    If you have not made any changes, you can go ahead and update the theme :)
