    Hi guys,

    I am using the image element block for a lightbox link to an mp4 video hosted on my site via “?iframe=true” added to the URL.

    The hosted video shows up in the lightbox on click, except that the video is in portrait mode and the landscape lightbox canvas has a lot of empty black space by the sides of the portrait video.

    This is fine on desktop because of the wide screen. However, on mobile, it shrinks the portrait video such that it is barely visible due to the black spaces by the sides of the portrait video. How do I remove the black spaces especially on mobile view? So that the portrait video in the lightbox can enlarge closer to the full width of the mobile screen.

    Can the lightbox not be defaulted to a landscape canvas but instead responsive to the content displayed being portrait or landscape for example?

    I’ve tried fiddling with the mfp-content mfp-container etc css but to no luck so far. Appreciate any help and advice on this. Thank you.

    Hi,

    @Guenni007
    thank you for trying to assist, as I recall you have created several good solutions for the black space on the sides of videos.

    @justinteo85
    above you have linked to a “preview” of a page which we can not see unless you also provide a admin login, but I would recommend creating a test page and publicly posting it so we can all help you.
    As I understand your question, you have a landscape video that doesn’t show well on a portrait mobile device, I would recommend linking to a different portrait video for mobile devices.

    Best regards,
    Mike
