Tagged: full width easy slider
I’ve tried the solutions for this from previous questions, but so far I’ve had no luck. I’m trying to use a different font from what is set for default headings (Open Sans) in Enfold for just one easy slider caption. When I change the default font in the theme settings, I can see the font I want (Tangerine). When set the default back to Open Sans and use the CSS override in Quick CSS, I see the font switch to serif, but it will not resolve Tangerine. What am I doing wrong?
I inspected the caption in Chrome and copied the selector, so the CSS is
#faithtop > div > ul > li > div > div > div > div > div > div > h2.avia-caption-title {
font-family: “Tangerine”, serif !important; font-size: 4em !important; color: #2d5c88 !important;
}
Hey Lissasan,
Could you post a link to where we can see the element that you are trying to target please?
Best regards,
Rikard
Oh, I’m sorry I forgot the link. It’s the caption in the slider at the top of this page. Also, I’ve tried to use the Extra Bold of Open Sans in the header under the slider, and that isn’t taking either.
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for that, the font in question is displaying fine on my end though. Did you try using a private or incognito window?
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi, I have tried incognito windows in Chrome, Arc, and Safari, and an incognito window in a fresh install of Firefox. None of them resolve the Tangerine font. I’ve included some screenshots. You can see in the screen shot where I have opened the inspector with the “normal” Open Sans settings, the inspector is saying Tangerine, but the font displayed is not Tangerine, just a generic serif font. I’ve also tried it on a Windows computer, where I see the same generic serif when the settings are Open Sans.
Thanks!
Hi, I managed to solve the issue by installing the Fonts Plugin and setting Tangerine to Load Only. The same technique worked to get the ExtraBold Open Sans.
Thanks! This one can be closed.
