On Facebook it’s no longer possible to edit the text of the link preview, see https://www.facebook.com/business/help/247886969033572 . So the question is: How to get rid of the meta data shown in the snippet on Facebook (date, number of comments and author)? Simply hiding the class post-meta-infos via CSS does not help. I would like to try showing these data below the text but I don’t know how. Any ideas on that or a solution in general would be very helpful. Thanks!

September 1, 2017 at 3:28 pm #846889OK, it’s the loop-index.php I have to change. I removed the Post Meta Infos before pasting the link in Facebook and everything is fine. It doesn’t seem to bother Facebook if you change it again afterwards in your blog. It’s at least a workaround. ;-)

RikardSeptember 2, 2017 at 9:41 am #847108Well, it’s not really a “solution”, actually it was only a test. I guess it’s up to you to implement a solution in Enfold. The task is to find a convenient way to share blog posts on Facebook with a preview which isn’t defaced by any ugly meta data.
September 5, 2017 at 9:55 pm #848336Hi,
The other option is to create a custom field where you can add the meta you want for the FB Share and then output the value at header of enfold.
That is easily done with a metabox framework and a function to header.phpIf you can not apply it, please consider to hire a freelancer who will be able to help you out with the task.

BasilisSeptember 8, 2017 at 6:42 pm #849683Thanks for your advise. I usually work with freelancers to tweak Enfold etc. But in this case it’s not necessary. I checked it out again and now the metadata are no longer shown in the Facebook preview. Because there was no Enfold update it must be Facebook itself that fixed this problem, so I am happy.
