Hello,

Background:
I recently migrated my website. I did this using the DreamHost automatic site mover. (Used these instructions https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004353927-Changing-a-DreamPress-%20temporary-domain-to-your-live-site ). To my knowledge this is a normal site migrator, but some errors occurred.

The mover was suppose to update the URL from example.dream.host to example.guru all over wordpress. And it does seemed to have done that for most of the settings.

The problem is within blog posts that are using the advanced layout editor. The main post content is contained in a text block. The trouble is any images that were in the text block are now broken in the WordPress Editor.

Basically instead of the correct format for a image appearing (Example)

I get this:
(((Note the absence of http:// )))

Luckily, the images still show up on the front end, but they are broken when looking at the wordpress editor.

So I’m trying to figure out how to correct the url’s.

I’ve tried using the Better Search Replace plugin. But this hasn’t worked.

Example, when I replace:
src=”example.guru/wp-content/uploads/2015/12
with:
src=”http://example.guru/wp-content/uploads/2015/12

This DOES add the http://, HOWEVER it also adds an extra ” and "e; at the end of the link. So it looks like this.
src=”“http://example.guru/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/image"”

So basically, what I need help with is figuring out how to bulk replace these url’s with the correct urls.

Thank you

Hey Nick,

The links do not look right, but the images show. Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look? Could you point us to the posts where the issue is and could you upload screenshots to a service like http://imgur.com/ or Dropbox, we don’t see the images from the post above.

Best regards,
Victoria
