    Hi,

How and where can I add an H1 tag on the homepage title? I set the page title on Yoast SEO and when I look up the page’s source code I see that title on top but I don’t see any H1 tags with that title anywhere on the page. From reading other similar questions on the forum the easiest solution is to either use the “Special Heading” element to manually add an H1 heading at or near the top of page or use the “Display only title” option on the Title Bar Settings.

However, on pages such as the homepage when the full screen slider is used I cannot use the “Special heading” element to add an H1 tag that the code goes before and it displays on top of the slider. Also on homepage when I set the “Display only title” option on the Title Bar Settings it adds nothing. On pages other than the homepage it adds the tithe and breadcrumbs if chosen but on the homepage that doesn’t work.

What code on the child theme’s functions file can I add so the title that I have set in both top of the page and also Yoast SEO is within an H1 tag?

    Thank you,
    George

    Hi sdbroker!

If you have selected a page to display as your frontpage in Dashboard > Enfold > Theme Options then the title bar and breadcrumbs should be displaying as long as your not disabling them.

Other than that you can also drag the special heading element to your page or a codeblock and add an H1 in that way.

    Best regards,

    Hi Elliott,

Thank you for the reply! As I mentioned above, I do use a page to display as the frontpage and I have selected to Display the title only on the Title bar as you also suggested but that does work when Transparent Header is selected. It works with the normal header but NOT with the transparent.

Using a special heading element or a code block is also not an option as this places the heading either above or below the slider and not on top of the slider…. unless custom css is used in which case it overlaps with the sliders title and caption.

There should be a code that places the page’s title in an h1 tag that search engines see above everything else on the content even though a transparent header is used and that heading doesn’t actual show on the page.

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey!

Why not place the h1 tag on the slider’s caption? Or add the special heading on top of the slider then push it upwards by adding a negative top margin.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
