We have 2 domains with subdomains under each. I assume we need an Enfold license for each domain. Are the subdomains covered by the domain licenses? Also, if we order two licenses, how do we specify the domain associated with each license?

    Hey Dan,

Thanks for reaching out to us. One license is valid for one domain, including sub domains. So in your case, you would need two licenses.

Once you have purchased the licenses then you can register them for the domain in question, please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

Thanks for the clarification, Rikard. I have a follow up question. The sites, which are for our church and school, are currently using Enfold (although at present we have no subdomains). The license was purchased through a web development company, that maintained the sites. The head of that company used to be a member of our church, but moved. He originally paid for them through his business. Now that he no longer maintains the sites, he asked us to purchase licenses for the sites, thereby decoupling them from his business.

The question I have is, once we purchase the licenses and move the new Enfold theme folder to the site with which they are associated, how do we change the license key? Since there is already a license key installed, is there anyway to overwrite it with the new one?

    Regards,

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for the update. Buying a new license and registering it to your domains should not be a problem, you can simply replace the token in the backend of the theme. Please refer to the documentation I linked to previously.

I would recommend that you purchase the licenses directly from Envato/Themeforest, and not through a third party. That ensures that you have direct control over the theme files, in case something should go wrong in your relationship with the developer.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
