I am converting my site over to Enfold and for some reason two strange things are happening with blog posts:
1. Featured image is displaying twice when you read the blog post. The posts include the featured image as part of the posts, then the post actually has a featured image set on the side bar. How do I handle featured images so the featured image does not display in posts or pages?
2. My blog sticky post which worked on my old theme does not work on this theme… it is not “sticky” as first post in grid.
blog linkThanks for your help… the legendary support is one of the main reasons I bought this theme.

March 10, 2016 at 12:28 am #595972For #1, I just found this code in another support post on this forum, and that fixed it… still need help with #2 please, thanks!
.single div.big-preview.single-big, .single .small-preview {
display: none !important;
}March 10, 2016 at 10:45 am #596203Hey!
Glad you got #1 sorted…
To make a post sticky please use a sticky post plugin similar to https://wordpress.org/plugins/category-sticky-post/
or check more here for the one that suit your needs https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=sticky+post

I am trying to limit the number of plugins I use to reduce conflicts and maintain site speed but I’ll look at that one.
Is there a way to put some welcome text / photo at the top of the blog page? That’s what I really want to do, and with a different theme the way to do that was to use a sticky post which that theme supported. Since this theme does not, is there a different way to do this?
Thanks again!! (and thanks for the work on the header… I didn’t want to waste your time with all the customization that I began to realize we were going to need once Thomas saw it and began saying “can we….”)
Thanks

March 14, 2016 at 7:46 pm #597945Hi!
Sorry for the delay, support is usually closed on the weekends .
I noticed you hired someone to customize the header. we would be happy to do it for you tho we are passionate to help you with any challenges with enfold :)
As i understand you need to add a image only on the blog page correct ?
We are working on your ticket please wait while we update the results here soon.

Vinay KashyapMarch 14, 2016 at 8:11 pm #597955Hi Vinay,
I would like to add some sort of welcome to the blog page… with my old theme, I had the welcome be the sticky post.Since this theme does not display the sticky post, is there another way to add a photo and a welcome message to the blog page?
Please note that the staging site is still up but we have pushed it into the production site so any changes there won’t take effect.
If you can tell us what to do and how to do it, I can handle it.
Thanks so much!!!

March 14, 2016 at 8:18 pm #597958Hi!
Login to WP backend and Edit the blog page add a “fullwidth easy slider” above the blog elements as shown in the below screenshot.
If you have any issue please create a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role we will setup the demo for you.
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapMarch 14, 2016 at 9:53 pm #598000Thanks Vinay… I am thinking that perhaps I need to set up my blog page. Currently it’s showing a blank screen under the editor.
With my old theme the blog page did not have any spot to add text at all.If I add text to the blank screen under the editor, in preview mode the blog just goes to the home page.
Are there instructions for setting up the blog on Enfold? Perhaps I have some set up work to do? I can probably do this myself if you can tell me what I need to do, otherwise can give you admin credentials, thanks!!!!
March 14, 2016 at 10:23 pm #598010I went over into the staging environment and played around… I created a blog roll in Avia, and tried to add banner text on top with both a text box and a special box… how do I get intro text on top of the blog?
Here is a photo of my attempt, which did not work: imgur pic
The text doesn’t show… it just shows the blog roll….thanks
March 14, 2016 at 11:37 pm #598030OK I figured it out!! I’ll update this thread so if others are searching they can find this.
– Go to theme options and for “page to display blog” select <BLANK> (no selection), then save.
– Go to blog page and use Avia to insert text box, then blog roll box.
– Customize side bar options / page options as needed
Done! Text will repeat on top of page 2,3,4 etc with the pagination turned on. I’m not sure why it does this but I like that it does.
Thanks
