Your example site is not using Enfold. However, you can add image element to your page and add a caption and choose to display it on hover :)

Do you mean (in my case) I would go to the Portfolio Item page? or the page in which I have the masonry element?Where would I add the image since each featured image is the image that shows up on the Portfolio page I made.

The image link provided is not working please point us to the element you like to create from the demo link we have here http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/ If you like us to setup the same on your site please create a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role and share in private content with permission to deactivate all plugins and add custom code if necessary to help you resolve this issue.
