    Hi there,

    I’d like to show my most current blog post in its entirety (as opposed to just the title and an image) when people click through to my blog homepage.

    Please help!

    Hey biteandsip,

    If you use the Blog Posts element you can set that in the Blog Content length option when editing the element.

    Hi Rikard,

    I found the Blog Posts element; my new question is how do I use that? Right now I have my blog displayed on a page I’ve titled “Blog”. When I put the Blog Posts element on that page nothing different seems to happen. Should I be building all my blog posts in that element?

    Hi,

    I’ve never tried using the blog post element on the assigned blog page, but I guess that would happen. I’m not sure what you mean by building all your blog posts with the element, the element is used for displaying blog posts, not creating them. You create your posts under Posts in the WordPress menu.     Hi Rikard,

    I think I confused the issue, I’m very sorry. I’ll start over and try and be more clear.

    Instead of having the blog be on my homepage, I have set my blog home page to a page I created called “Blog.” Then I went to Posts, created a new post, and wrote a blog post and published it. Now when I go to my blog home page I only see the title and the featured image.

    In your original response you mention a Blog Post Element that has a setting for Displaying the entire post. I found that element but how is it used? That’s the part I don’t understand.

    Hi there –

    In Theme Options -> Blog Layout I have it set to Use the Advance Editor. Then on the Blog page I have a Blog Posts element, and in that element I have Blog Post Length set to Full Content. But I’m not seeing the full content. Would appreciate any help.

    Hey,

    The behaviour you are seeing is the expected one since you have used the Advanced Layout Builder for the post, you will have to add the excerpt manually to the excerpt field when using it. If you can’t see the excerpt field then click Screen Option in the top right hand corner in the edit screen and select to display it there. If you want your blog to act the “easy” way, then please use the default editor. You can still use ALB elements by using the Magic Wand tool.
