If someone could point me to an article concerning changing an installed enfold site from HTTP to HTTPS I would be thankful.
It all seems to be working except the “Permalinks” within the page editor. I can’t figure out how to change them from HTTP to HTTPS.
Thanks,

I actually had just read this article. It’s not, however, resolving my issue. Let me attempt to be a clearer…
I’ve already changed the site to HTTP. And I can navigate to the various pages on the site. The problem is that in the general settings (admin) it’s still listing “HTTP:…” not “HTTPS: …” . the article states to edit this but my fields are not editable. So the only problem I’m having is with the PermaLink setting within WordPress AND it only seems to impact me when I’m attempting to click on the “Permalink” from the “Edit Page” screen. If I’m surfing the site through a browser all the links work just fine.

I mistyped on the previous post it should have read “I’ve already changed the site to HTTPS.” To be clear, If I navigate to the site using HTTPS then navigation as a visitor works great. But when I’m editing a page and click on the “Permalink” (which still says “HTTP”) I receive the 404 error. If I go to Settings/General I can see that the Permalink is set as HTTP not HTTPS, but it’s not editable.

VictoriaOctober 12, 2017 at 3:20 pm #863467Thanks, Victoria :). However, as I stated in the previous post, those fields are not editable.
I think I’m just going to have to reinstall WordPress and make sure I’m installing into the HTTPS environment.

Yes it seems as if starting with https to begin with is a more viable and stable solution long-term.

Try this: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
It’s a utility to change every instance of your database HTTP to HTTPS. It changes all your WordPress tables relating to HTTP – so will change the base setting in your WP install.
I moved to HTTPS a year ago with this tool and it took 3 minutes. Everything will change to HTTPS – and I mean everything! All your permalinks will now read HTTPS. Then you can use an online mixed-content checker to make sure you clean up any rogue URL’s.
Hope that helps
