The Display posts screen provides a tiny amount of space for the title and extensive space for other columns. I need to adjust! How do I do this – when I enter the css in my child theme style.css, it does not work.

That isn’t something we can assist with via support unfortunately. Getting into modifying the WordPress dashboard is a subject of itself but typically I see this kind of issue from other plugins which modify the default column width by adding in another column (for SEO options as an example).
