    Hey there,

I want to add a fontello icon (which i’ve already uploaded to enfold) into a line of text like this:

    How can I do it?
    Thanks!

    Hey dancedojo,

Could you please give us a link to your website, we need more context to be able to help you. And please be more specific, where you want to add the icon.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hey Victoria,
I figured you’d be able to give me a general explanation of how to do it without seeing the site… but i guess not? I’ve included login creds in the private section.

I just want to add a heart icon to the H2 at the bottom of this page:

<h2> What Our Students [heart] Most </h2>

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I created a private page and added heart icon in it and copied HTML of the icon and replaced “love” with “heart”.

I noticed you imported FontAwesome icons. You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-can-i-add-font-awesome-icons-manually/#post-849678 to add them to your theme as well.

    Please review your website :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Hi Yigit, thanks for the explanation – I understand it, but I don’t see where the html for the heart is…?

    Screenshots
How the page displays – https://monosnap.com/file/ioOYlVb6zY3eed7qZTJeHbk4i4k44Y
The text box with the H2 (I see no html for the heart) – https://monosnap.com/file/ps1XnS4g30zRJ9B0qR1OGeNFNrH6Y1

Can you explain again or make a 10 second video?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Add the theme’s icon shortcode in between the “Students” and “Most” text. Set it to the “heart” icon. You can generate the icon shortcode from a temporary page and copy it to the text block.

    Ismael

Hi guys, I’ve added the icon shortcode in between the two words like you said but the heart doesn’t end up in between the two words.

    Here’s a screencast:

What am I doing wrong? I’d like to avoid more back and forth, so if you could make a video showing me what you’re doing that would be fantastic. Thank you!

    Hi,

We created an example in a test page. ( see private field )

Hi, I literally copied and pasted exactly what you did (underneath yours) and I get a different result – makes no sense to me. I really need a better understanding of how you’re getting yours to work.

Please take a look and explain why it’s not working for me…

    Hi,

I wrapped the heart icon inside a span tag. Please edit the text block and switch to the “Text” mode before copying the code.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

You can close this one now.
