How are these elements achieved ?

There are a couple of features I particularly like the look of from this website created using Enfold.

The first thing is on the homepage, the main image (with the signup to newsletter), i love how the header is transparent to the image, how is this made possible in enfold ?

The main image, has that been setup using the layer slider add on?

And finally on the footer, the social icons centred along with the text info below it, how is this achieved in enfold?
