Small Panic – all of a sudden our homepage is not loading – including the (not finished footer text). I don’t think we made any changes.
It is still in development. The page is still there under pages with all the content in the dashboard.
Navigation and Logo load – then there is a thin white stripe and the black area covers the drop down navigation.
I have tried uploading again.
I have tried copying the page, but the same page displays
I have tried previewing, but same blacnk page shows
I made sure the home page is set correctly under settings -> reading
I have tried changing and updating page name (works)
changing text in content – no idea if it works as it does not show.
I have updated Akismet and Updraft plugins today.Frank

Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?
Cheers!
YigitDecember 15, 2014 at 5:01 pm #368359Hi Yigit,
I have deactivated them all, but no success. The page seems a long time to try to load and then nothing. I will activate them again now.
I have a layer slider and various galleries on. Would a screenshot of the page in dashboard help? I have one as a PDF, but not sure how to send it to you.
December 15, 2014 at 5:13 pm #368368I also noticed the other pages to load very slowly. The indicator in the tab rotates for quite a while until the page loads.
December 16, 2014 at 4:20 am #368758Hey!
please also contact your host about this issue. If you didn’t make any big changes and all of a sudden this problem occurs, I think they might know what to do.
Regards,
AndyDecember 16, 2014 at 2:54 pm #368916Thanks Andy,
today the problem got much worse as our site is actually red listed for malware. It might be another WP installation in the same hosting package we have nothing to do with. It might be the SoakSoak malware which seems to be related to the rev slider plug-in. All this sites in the same package are now considered malware.I did notice the initial problem seemed to start covering up content from the point where I had placed a layerslider. Have you heard anything about them having a similar problem.
I would try to make a copy and remove the layer slider to see if it makes any difference, but of course can now not see anything with the big red screen blocking.
December 16, 2014 at 4:24 pm #368955I was able to make a copy and take out the layerslider shortcode and now the page works again. I tried a different slider shortcode and the same problem occurs. I think I have the latest slider version (5.3.2).
I was really counting on including a layer slider on the front page as it gave such a good overview.
Anyhow, I just got kicked out again (safari was the only browser not thinking it was malware, but now it does).

December 17, 2014 at 3:29 am #369296Hi!
there are thousands of other clients using layer slider on Enfold an it works just fine. Please contact your host. There might just be some virus/malware on your server/installation.
Cheers!
AndyDecember 17, 2014 at 4:11 pm #369495Thanks, that is good to know
It worked great until a few days ago. But we do have a malware problem with our host at the moment we are trying to resolve. So if there is not a barrage of other users having the same problem, I will look elsewhere.
